SDRC, Expert Stock Buggy, Saturday 3/26/16

Another tough start and race. A bunch of guys came out to AZ to race also.

I put in my best qualifying runs so far on this layout, a 15:01!  But this only got me a 5th place start in the A main.  The 2nd lap of the main was a mess. I got caught up in somebody's crash and was marshaled last, ending up in last place. I managed to drive my way back to 6th place. But my motor temp alarm went off!  The motor reached a max temp 158F during the race!  I should probably gear down a tooth. Oh and I bent a dog bone also :(. Maybe it's time to switch back to mod with the 3.0?  Lol.

I almost raced my B4!  I was just running it to burn up some old tires and not put any wear on my race car, but I turned some low 19's with it, so I thought about racing it!  Lol!

Oh well. Expert Stock Buggy Friday 3/18/16

Meh. I wasn't into racing anyway as I'm on flying mode right now!  Qualified 4th and blew out in the main finishing 6th. 

TQ and Win!

We raced Friday night 3/11/16 at our home track SDRC.  I ran expert stock buggy and mod truck. I would TQ buggy and start 2nd in truck. 

I got a clean start and gapped the field by 12 seconds!  I did make a mistake on the last lap in the same spot as last weekend for some reason, but I managed to get going again before the 2nd place car passed me. Lol!

I qualified 2nd and finished 3rd. In the main I was able to take the lead, but some bobbles dropped me back to 3rd. My truck is more twitchy and bucks back and forth during front to rear weight transfer, which makes it feel unstable compared to my buggy.  Some setup work is definitely needed. 

Expert Stock Buggy TQ and win (almost)!

I headed out to SDRC for some Expert Stock Buggy racing with my buddies on Saturday 3/5/16. 

I made no changes to my car and just tried to burn up some old tires during practice. Lol. For racing I went with my good set of Electrons. 

I only made a few mistakes in each qualifying run and managed to TQ!

I got a clean start from the TQ spot and built up a small gap as everyone else took each other out. A mistake in the chicane leading to the straight on the last lap would cost me the win though, but at least I still finished 2nd? Hahaha. Oh well.
