There were also 2 guys that had come down from Sacremento to check out the racing in SoCal. They were racing in stock buggy also. Both of them out qualified me (2nd and 4th, I was back in 6th) as I crashed too many times in qualifying and got novice marshaled on a few crashes.
I got a good start from 6th, not getting tangled in the opening laps. I then took advantage of a pile up far from any marshals and moved up from 5th to 2nd! I tried I chase down the leader (a Sac town guy), but he had a decent lead and wasn't making many mistakes. I would finish in 2nd, between the 2 out of towners.
For truck I ended up in mod as nobody signed up for 13.5 truck. It was no matter as I would qualify 2nd with my Blinky mode truck. I lucked out in the main though, as the leader checked out, but crashed miles away from any marshals, sitting upside down for almost a full lap! I passed him as he got going again and cruised in for the win :)
