Anyways I qualified 5th and finished 2nd :). I was also the only other racer to turn an 18 second fast lap in stock :)

Expert Stock Buggy, SDRC, Saturday 2/27/16
Well I raced stock just to see if I could make the triple consistently. I can! Mission accomplished! I just need to remember to go through the rythm section down the middle so the car doesn't get out of shape? Maybe I'll try stiffer springs? They seemed to help on the 3.0.

Mod Buggy, Wednesday 2/17/16, SDRC
This was my 2nd time out racing mod buggy. I stiffened up my suspension to get less chassis scrub in the rhythm section and wanted to see if the changes made a difference. During my practice run the stiffer springs seemed to help, as my car felt more stable through this section. But now I had a touch too much steering :(.
To compensate for this, I mounted the top of the rear shocks in 1 hole on the shock tower and stopped putting liquid wrench on my front tires.
I guess the changes worked as I won my heat race!
In the main, I got a clean start, but crashed on lap 2 and wasn't able to make my way back up, as I kept getting collected in other people's crashes. Oh well.

Mod Buggy with the 22 3.0, Saturday 2/13/16, SDRC
I finally have the 22 3.0 setup to race mod buggy! Not fake mod muggy with a boosted 13.5, but an actual mod motor! A MurfDogg 8.5!
I got in 3 practice runs on the 22 and 2 on the B5. I ran the B5 just to see if I could make the triple consistently. I could do it for 10 minutes, but my motor temp got up to 150F with a fan, so I need to gear it down a tooth or 2. I'm also down to 1 set of good rears for the 22. I do have a set of Electrons on the way though :)
And what's going on with SDRC's hobby shop? The tire wall is bare and they still don't have any 3.0 parts :(
Mod buggy on the new layout is pretty fun! Although it's not a true "mod" layout, as stock can also make the bigger jumps.
I managed to qualify 6th while getting used to racing mod. I blew out in round 1 and put in a decent run in round 2.
In the main I got hit on the start through the rythm section, but recovered and finished 4th, on the same lap as Brian Kinwald! I was gaining on 3rd also, until I made a mistake. Oh well, at least I had fun :)

OCRC road trip! Sunday 2/7/16
We headed up to OCRC to do some club racing in the 2016 Reedy Race layout. Stock had to double the 2 triples, but the layout was fun to drive and good to race on, but was easy to navigate. I was on pace with the locals after 1 practice run, turning laps in the low 20's.
Thunder Alley visit, 2/6/16
I headed up to Thunder Alley in Beaumont to race my RC8 ebuugy outdoors for the 1st time! But when I arrived the wind was blowing hard. This made it hard for me to see the cars on the backside of the track. The cars were also much farther than I'm used too. Add to this the fact that the wind was turning the cars in the air over the bigger jumps, I elected to not race and just watch and hang out with my buddies.

Expert Stock Buggy, SDRC, Saturday 1/30/16
I just raced on Saturday this week, as I've been racing too much lately and needed a break. I raced my 22 3.0 in expert stock buggy, to compare to my B5m. I also ran them back to back in practice, and my B5m did feel faster, but I was turning the same lap times? I drive the 3.0 deeper into the sweeper though, as it didn't have the top speed the B5m does.
I did decent in qualifying, but everyone was going fast tonight. I also must've been more tired than I realized because my vision was a bit blurry :(. I turned a 16:10 and 16:12 and qualified 5th. In the main I clipped the inside pipe entering the sweeper on lap 9 and broke a rear arm. Oh well.
This was probably the last stock race for my 3.0. When I replace the broken rear arm I'll install my 8.5 motor. I built this car for mod buggy anyway.
